Student Work Example: WWI Propaganda in Canva

Students in Ms. McCann’s US History class were tasked to create a piece of propaganda that clearly represented their stance on WWI: neutrality or aggression.  Was the US justified in declaring war on Germany? They used Canva to create a poster to persuade Americans to support that stance.

CrashCourse – YouTube

tumblr_mb5xahFtLa1rehvbto1_500 This YouTube Channel is organized into different subjects such as biology, world history, and literature, and the author John Green works to cram a lot of information into about 10 minutes.  There is an element of humor mixed in with a mild amount of confusion, but the content provides for great overviews or even final summaries or analysis.

I often ask my class why they think he chose to highlight the parts that he did or what they think he should have spent more time explaining.
